ENVIRONMENTAL FUNDING

Missouri Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund (PSTIF)

The Missouri Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund (PSTIF) provides coverage to owners for underground and aboveground petroleum storage tank systems (UST and AST). Additionally, funds are available for the cleanup of tank site where USTs or ASTs were operated in the past if the property meets certain criteria. Leigh Environmental has years of experience working alongside PSTIF and we can help you apply for coverage, file claims, and check for coverage eligibility.

Brownfield Funding Programs

EPA’s Brownfields Program is designed to empower states, communities, and other stakeholders in economic redevelopment to work together in a timely manner to prevent, assess, safely clean up, and sustainably reuse brownfields. A brownfield is a property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant. LEL has completed numerous successful brownfield projects including excavation of contaminated soil and underground storage tank removals. Additional funding and grants are available through the EPA Brownfield Program.
